Buy a Coat for a Kid or Donate Cash – WON’T SOMEONE THINK OF THE CHILDREN?!

Coats4Kidz is a local organization, so they are near and dear to my heart. Although it doesn’t get super cold here, we do get temps below freezing, and it rains a lot during the winter. Locales farther north gets snow – we get rain. Most kids that live in rural areas here (most really) ride the bus. Some are outside as early as 6 AM in the cold waiting for the bus.

If you know of an organization in your area that does something similar, please feel free to donate to them!

I’ve set up a wishlist on Amazon (this is NOT an affiliate link) that will ship directly to them, and before you say “But it’s Amazon!” please read this: Every time somebody says ‘but it’s Amazon’ a fairy dies and a child doesn’t get a present at Christmas   (language warning)

You can also donate money through their web site, if you prefer go that route.

Other organizations that also need your help:

Toys for Tots – Find a local Angel Tree if you can. Our Jr. Auxiliary sponsors one every year. The company I work for was able to adopt three families this year.
